Cama, LANCO. From the hospital to the house.

Hospital equipment increasingly requires mechanisms and materials suitable for the intensive use to which they are subjected. From this premise, an innovative project was created for a hospital bed that can also be used in a patient's home, in case of prolonged convalescence.

Designed by MM Design, Cama is a bed with an innovative patient support movement system made in 4 sections to improve comfort. Great attention was given to the design of the containment sides, in order to comply with regulations, while guaranteeing maximum safety and eliminating the risk of squeezing and/or crushing. Furthermore, the bed movement controls can be recessed on the sides to facilitate the patient and service personnel.

Soft shapes without edges make it possible to avoid any type of injury in the event of accidental contact, making the interior space welcoming, without excessive visual barriers in the event that the sides are in an upright position. Its versatility makes it suitable for use in the most varied contexts: hospitals, clinics, nursing homes, and even within a private, domestic context. Customization to the surroundings is possible due to the insertion of various laminates on the sides, which can harmonize with different furnishings.
