The 60th Milano Design Week, which took place from 7 - 12 June, and at last, with people in attendance after three years, once again crowns Milan as the world’s design capital.
In spite of the absence of Russia and China, the event saw 262,608 visitors (of whom 61% from 173 countries) together with 3,500 accredited journalists from all over the world.
There were 2175 exhibitors, 27% from outside Italy, plus 600 young designers.
The pairing of trade fair and city was a great success once again - thanks to the Fuorisalone event that animated the different Design districts in Milan.
Over 800 events were organised, involving 1380 designers and 1061 brands, with a presence of more than 400,000 people for the week.
The 2022 Salone was even more digitalised and global: 13.5 million social media accounts reached, more than 50 thousand posts created by the community using official hashtags, 600 thousand video views, 120 thousand interactions and 25 million impressions. The Fuorisalone.it, website recorded an audience of more than 350 thousand users, and 2.3 million pages viewed. Instagram, one of the most visited channels, saw an increase of 17 thousand followers and coverage of 2 million users.
An event with a contemporary feel, animated above all by a great desire for recovery, distinguished by creativity and a great capacity for innovation, combining aesthetics, functionality, and sustainability.
