Safety Expo 2024

The Safety Expo 2024, dedicated to workplace health and safety, has recently concluded. Careful risk assessment, regular maintenance of buildings and facilities, and emergency planning were some of the key topics addressed, highlighting the importance of safeguarding workers across various sectors. Over 300 exhibitors from different countries showcased valuable solutions for construction sites, fire safety, and a wide range of industries with varying risk levels.

During the two-day event, a series of sessions focused on specific topics, organised in collaboration with major associations, took place.

Design plays a crucial role: whether it's protecting limbs or respiratory systems, ensuring safety when working at height or in hazardous operations, having aesthetically pleasing products in trendy colours that fit well to the body encourages their use! Lightweight, high-performance materials, ergonomic shapes, ease of use of various devices, and clothing that not only meets legal standards but is also comfortable and stylish are a priority for companies and designers. Cool shoes for summer or warm ones for cold environments, light and durable helmets, gloves that are both pleasant to touch and safe, jackets and trousers that look good enough for leisurewear are becoming increasingly popular in the workplace.

In short, design, with great attention to materials—resulting from ongoing research and experimentation, and with a focus on environmental sustainability—offers innovative and appealing solutions that meet diverse needs, helping to save lives in the workplace.
