The SP!RAL–2022 Circular Design Exhibition

March 15 – July 3, 2022 Taiwan Design Museum

Do you know? One ton of discarded electronics contains more than 800 times as much gold as one ton of gold mines! Often the "waste" we discard can become valuable precious.

With limited natural resources global, Taiwan, which lacks natural resources but has a complete industrial chain, is one of the most suitable countries to develop a circular economy.

Nowadays, the circular design is not limited only to using "recycled waste" like in the past. In Taiwan, government, designers, and private enterprises create diverse design methods together. At the same time, the cross-industry cooperation and the consumer's awareness for environmental protection and sustainability drive consumption. Thus, there are more driving forces for the circular economy which link the design value / the industrial chains and find the possibilities for sustainability.

This exhibition “the SPIRAL” by the Taiwan Design Research Institute echoes this spirit! Come check it out!
