LISA
A new living concept for the elderly
In many countries around the world, life expectancy has increased considerably, as has the quality of life.
In many countries around the world, life expectancy has increased considerably, as has the quality of life.
People over the age of 65 make up 20% of the population in Europe, equal to about 100 million inhabitants.
In some countries, such as Italy and Greece, this percentage is as high as 23% and raises questions for the future, also in light of what has been seen recently during the Coronavirus pandemic.
The LISA project is the result of a collaboration of several partners with the scientific support of the Munich University of Technology (TUM), and is above all concerned with allowing elderly people to be able to live in their own homes without having to go live in assisted living homes against their will.
The inclusive design offers a series of solutions relating to the different areas of the house, improving the life of the elderly and making it possible for them to be checked discreetly from a distance to ensure that they are in good condition. They can thus use a special telemedicine device to send their biological and vital data to their doctor without having to leave the house. Applications have been developed that allow elderly people to remain in constant contact with their loved ones and alleviate loneliness.
This solution offers a secure way for the elderly to continue living peacefully among their memories and their most dear loved ones.
